- Our County is in the midst of budget hearings (aren’t we all!) and in the process of deciding whether to reduce our life guard personnel. What has your county or city done to notify the swimming public that there will no life guard posted at the beach? What specific signage wording have you used? Also, have you eliminated or reduced your life guard personnel? What legal issues have you encountered? We are aware of Breaux and the 2005 amendments to FS 380.276. Thanks. Please respond by e-mail to manderson@irc.gov.
