V. Gerald Meaders
V. GERALD MEADERS represents Pinellas County in Eminent Domain, Public Works, Contracts, and Construction matters. While at the County, he also represented St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport. He previously represented DOT, as a Sr. Atty. in Eminent Domain, Utilities, and Public Records, then as an Asst. Atty. General in Eminent Domain. He presented various papers at DOT statewide Legal Meetings, including ”What’s Wrong With Mulkey?”, “The Eminent Domain Summary Procedure”, and others. His publications include “What Is the Relationship Between Severance Damages and Police Power Regulations?”, Eminent Domain Seminar, Florida Bar CLE, 2002; “Attacking the Team In Eminent Domain”, 7th Annual CLE Intl. SuperConference, Tampa, 2003. He is board certified in Local Government Law, AV rated, holds an MBA, Boston University, and a JD, Stetson. He was once a Public Defender, and began his career in business law, in Tampa.
