Edward A. Dion

Edward A. Dion currently serves as General Counsel to Broward County Sheriff, Ken Jenne.  Previously he served as County Attorney for Broward County from 1999 to 2004.  For more than 11 years, he served as Assistant General Counsel and then General Counsel for the State of Florida, Department of Labor and Employment Security, from 1987 to 1999.  Prior to his government service, Dion was in private practice in Miami and Orlando, specializing in real estate and commercial litigation.  Dion has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1979, and is admitted to practice in the Southern District of Florida, the 11^th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the City, County, Local Government Law Section of the Florida Bar, and served as a member of its Executive Council for three years.
